Many of the credit, debit and ID cards you have in your wallet use a technology called Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). This technology can be very convenient, allowing you to quickly pay for items in a busy checkout line with a simple tap of your card.
This modern convenience, however, also exposes you to the risk of identity theft. Thieves can 'skim' the radio frequency information on your cards from a distance and copy it onto a fake card that they can then use to make purchases from your accounts.
To protect against this, a special foil layer can be sewn into pockets or wallets, blocking radio access to any cards you store within them. The items below have this important RFID-blocking security feature integrated into their design.
